My speech if I was on the floor of the house

Thank you Madam Speaker.

I have heard my Honored Colleagues say over and over, that we are trying to impeach a Duly Elected I hope he is duly elected - or else we are impeaching the wrong man.

When then candidate Trump was running for office, he used words that were reckless, inciteful, sometimes even harmful. Sometimes they are effective in political battles. However, once elected, most Presidents put behind those words for ones of honesty, inclusion and compassion, with the understanding that they are now President of the entire United States, not just one political group or party. President Trump has not. You can be a rebel, an outsider, and accomplish your goals, without throwing out the Constitution. He took an oath "will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." But he slipped up. He let his personal needs outweigh the needs of the many. We are not voting on impeachment because he is Conservative or Republican. We do because we took an oath “I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”
